Nighttime Driving Tips
Original Publish Date - February 2010

The glare from other vehicle’s headlights makes it more difficult to drive at night than during the day. For this reason, Auto Glass Guru recommends these simple tips for nighttime driving:

1. Keep your auto glass clean. A dirty windshield will increase the amount of glare considerably.

2. Make sure your headlights (inside and out) also remain clean. Dirty headlights will decrease the amount of light output, which decreases your ability to see while driving at night.

3. Shut off all interior lights while driving at night, as they can create additional glares.

4. Avoid looking directly into the headlights of oncoming traffic.

5. If your vehicle comes equipped with a rearview mirror day/night driving feature, take advantage of its benefits.
