Drugged Drivers Detected

A recent National Highway Traffic Safety Administration survey reveals that 16.3 percent of nighttime weekend drivers are under the influence of drugs while operating their vehicle. New screening techniques can detect substances other than alcohol. The most common drugs are marijuana (8.6 percent), cocaine (3.9 percent) and over-the-counter and prescription medications (also 3.9 percent).
